How to use each feature
A quick guide to finding and using everything Nano offers, grouped by area.
Chat & models
Switch AI models
Tap the model name in the top bar of any chat and pick from your available models. Higher plans unlock more capable models.
Personality modes
Tap the sparkle icon next to the model picker to choose a persona (e.g. concise, creative, tutor). The persona shapes Nano's tone.
Daily Spark
Open the command palette and pick Daily Spark to get a daily prompt, dare, or story starter. Complete it to build your streak.
Built-in games
Open the command palette (⌘/Ctrl + K) and pick Trivia, Guess the Number, Word Scramble, Two Truths and a Lie, or Daily Spark from the Games section.
Web search
Ask about current events, prices, or paste a link. Nano automatically searches the web and cites sources. Free gets 3/day; Pro+ is unlimited.
Regenerate a response
Hover any Nano reply and tap the Regenerate (circular arrows) button to get a fresh answer. Business+ feature.
Media & files
Image generation
Type "generate an image of…" in any chat. Nano creates an image and shows it inline. Limits: Pro 10/day, Business 50/day, Max 200/day.
Video creation
Type "generate a video of…" to create a short clip with audio. Business gets 2/day, Max gets 5/day. Tap Save to download.
File attachments
Tap the paperclip in the composer to upload files. Nano can read PDFs, docs, spreadsheets, and images.
Image analysis (vision)
Upload an image and ask Nano what's in it — it can describe, transcribe, or analyze the picture.
Voice input
Tap the microphone icon in the composer and speak your message. Nano transcribes it before sending.
Spoken replies
Tap Listen on any Nano reply to hear it read aloud. Pro+ feature.
File creation
Ask Nano to create a document, spreadsheet, or code file. It generates and attaches a downloadable file.
Organize your chats
Search chats
Use the search box in the sidebar to filter chats by keyword. Pro+ feature.
Rename chats
Hover a chat in the sidebar and tap the pencil icon. Pro+ feature.
Pin chats
Hover a chat and tap the pin icon to keep it at the top. Business+ feature.
Duplicate (clone) chats
Hover a chat and tap the copy icon to create a copy. Business+ feature.
Branch (fork) a chat
Tap Branch on any Nano reply to start a new chat from that point. Max feature.
Delete chats
Hover a chat and tap the trash icon, or use "Delete all chats" in the sidebar to clear everything.
Export chat
Tap the download icon in the top bar to export as Markdown (Pro+) or PDF (Business+).
Chat summary
Tap the summary icon in the top bar to get a 5-bullet recap of the conversation. Pro+ feature.

Tap "Power Features" in an empty chat to open the full menu of one-click tools, grouped by plan.

From Power Features, use Translate, Improve Writing, or Rewrite Tone. Pro+ feature.

Role-based access
As a project owner, edit members to set them as Owner, Editor, or Chatter. Business feature.
Knowledge sources
In a project's Knowledge tab, add text or website sources the AI will use for that project. Business feature.
